The process begins by applying the knowledge gained in class to several written assignments which could include writing a French essay.
The next step is to develop creative writing skills. Though it may not differ much in terms of applying the same thought process, it can be different in terms of combining language skills and grammar with the creative thought process. It takes practice and guidance. Students must refer their assignments to their teachers and ask for a written evaluation. The researched content could be in the form of quotes that could be linked to ideas generated for the essay. If it’s French coursework that’s being attempted, research would help link chapters as well as individual pages. Attempting a complex assignment would help in learning how the language can be used to express ideas. Each page would be included within an outline which can then be worked upon.
Learning the basics to complete a class assignment may take some time but would be possible to complete. Compiling coursework is more difficult. A better way to shorten the learning curve is to practice listening and reading French literature.
